Nick Saban and No. 1 Alabama stayed undefeated with a 10-0 win over LSU on Saturday night in Baton Rouge. While that’s important for the Tide’s hopes of defending their national championship, the win may have been important for another group as well: Democrats.

‘What do you mean,’ you ask? Well, reader, the winner of the Alabama-LSU game has correctly predicted the president of the United States since 1984. When LSU wins in an election year, the Republican candidate wins. When Alabama does, the Democratic candidate takes office.

There you have it. According to the Alabama win, Hillary Clinton will be the next president of the United States. Okay, okay, you’re right, this has nothing to do with who wins the election. It just so happens that this trend has been the case. In reality, Alabama’s win has no effect on how things will play out for tomorrow.

Still, it is entertaining to consider.
