On a beautiful spring evening the Tennessee Titans opened up their currently dormant home, Nissan Stadium, to their season-ticket holders and their families for a movie night at the stadium.
Fans camped out on the field with blankets and snacks and got ready to watch “Minions” on the big stadium screen with their families.
Everything was perfect… except for one small thing.
Somehow, the sprinkler system in the stadium went off in the middle of the festivities, soaking the Titans fans in attendance and sending them running for drier pastures on the field.
The team issued a statement to The Tennessean after the incident.
“Some sprinklers went off for about 30-45 seconds in one quadrant of the field, which was unfortunate and unexpected since we had changed the timers for the sprinklers. We had a good turnout of our season ticket members and their families and realize it didn’t make for a great night for those who got wet, and for that we apologize.”
This past season the Titans finished 3-13 and just 1-7 at home. Clearly they still have some on-field execution issues to sort out as an organization before the 2016 season gets underway.
Bryan Altman is, for some reason, an unabashed fan of the Rangers, Jets and Mets. If he absolutely had to pick a basketball team it would be the Knicks, but he’d gladly trade them for just one championship for any of his other three teams.
