Charles Barkley has been known for having some epic rants over the years. He is unafraid of speaking on any topic, any time, any where. As an analyst for the NBA on TNT broadcasts, he gets plenty of airtime to air out his grievances (no pun intended).
This time, the subject of his ire is his former organization, the Phoenix Suns. The Suns have played terrible basketball this year currently holding a 14-37 record, good for second to last in the Western Conference. They’ve fired their entire coaching staff, but continue to be on a six-game losing streak.
So, last night, Barkley took his best shot at the Suns while the crew was showing highlights of their game against the Houston Rockets. Enjoy.
In case you’re timing, the rant went on for a full four minutes. In that time, Barkley touched on the food in the arena, the beverages being flat, the seats, lack of fans, etc.
My favorite part of the whole video is the fact that the rest of the crew just kept on leading him into the comments. They were lobbing softballs down the middle and Charles just decided to destroy everything. I don’t think the Suns are going to want Barkley to come back anytime soon. Though as he said in the video, the team has apparently been inviting him back all the time.
His response? “What in the hell am I going to come out and watch?”
Never change, Chuck. Never change.
