There are plenty of reasons to call the police. Noise complaints about kids outside playing basketball isn’t one of them. Yet, that’s exactly what happened in Gainesville, Florida last week. Someone actually called the cops because kids were apparently making too much noise while playing basketball out in front of their house.

The good news is, the fine officer that responded to the call did exactly what you would hope. He joined the kids playing ball. In a video posted by the Gainesville Police Department on their Facebook page, they showed what will happen if you call them with noise complaints about kids just being kids.

You can hear the officer at the end of the video say that he’ll bring some friends the next day to join the kids for another game. Well done Officer White. Good job by you.
