One of the most surprising stories so far this year has been Matt Hasselbeck leading the Colts in Andrew Luck’s absence to three-straight wins and a 6-5 record. At 3-5 and down their star quarterback at the beginning of November, the notion of a playoff run from Indianapolis was laughable, but here we are in December and the Colts are tied with the Houston Texans atop the AFC South.

Apparently Hasselbeck’s play hasn’t just been a shock to fans around the league, but also to the league itself. Today, Hasselbeck, who is now 4-0 as the Colts’ starter, noted on Twitter that the league has selected him for ‘random’ drug testing.

Hasselbeck was also chosen earlier this summer for random HGH testing.

Of course, these could actually be ‘random’ tests that Hasselbeck was somehow chosen for, but it sure seems like the league is trying to figure out how Hasselbeck is having so much success at his age.

I bet Peyton Manning wouldn’t mind knowing what his secret is as well.

If he absolutely had to pick a basketball team it would be the Knicks, but he’d gladly trade them for just one championship for either of his other three teams. Read more from Bryan here.
