What’s better than beating an athlete at a video game with their own team? How about beating that athlete, who happens to be on the cover of the game, with their own team?

That’s exactly what happened when Kobe Bryant took on Alex Morgan in a game of FIFA 16. Morgan is the first female to ever appear on the cover of the FIFA franchise but that didn’t help her against the Lakers legend. Kobe played as the United States Women’s National Team while Morgan played with the Canada Women’s National Team. Kobe won 2-1 with, of course, both of his goals being scored by the video game version of Alex Morgan.

The best exchange was when Morgan asked, “Where did you learn how to pass?” to which Kobe self-deprecatingly responded, “Who said I ever learned?“.

What would happen if the two played NBA 2K16 and Morgan played as the Lakers? Would she win? Only if Bryant played as the Knicks.

If Bryant wants a true test on the sticks, he should take on a connoisseur of FIFA, one Chad Johnson.
