For most sports fans September means the return of football. However September also means the NHL season is just around the corner and opening night is just two weeks away.

The Montreal Canadians will start their season on October 7 but before that, some players took time to perhaps prepare for their second careers. One such player is P.K. Subban who visited Sports Net Canada and the Hockey Night in Canada set. Subban then pulled off a classic impression of infamous NHL analyst Don Cherry, complete with flamboyant wardrobe:

Pulling off a ‘Don Cherry’ is no easy task and Subban does a great job. I hope he borrowed that suit as it’s not exactly something you can wear just anywhere.

I’d like to see Frank Caliendo do a Don Cherry impersonation. Or, perhaps, see Caliendo do an impersonation of Subban impersonating Don Cherry. But with Caliendo’s employer not showing much interest in NHL, that will likely never happen so we should just enjoy Subban’s impression.
