It’s been quite the offseason for Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans. After his breakout season in which he made the All-NBA first team and his first playoff appearance; Davis has been working on his three-point shot to complement his already-deadly mid-range game. He also packed on about 15 pounds of muscle and looks nothing like the stringbean he was at the University of Kentucky and his first few NBA seasons.

Oh yeah, he also got paid to the tune of $145 million over five years in what is (currently) the biggest contract in the league. Apart from all of that it appears Mr. Davis isn’t satisfied with just taking over the game of basketball; he also wants to take control of the solar system.

Davis and Red Bull have teamed up to create quite the interesting image of Davis appearing to palm the sun. Here is a behind-the-scenes video of the making of this breathtaking image:

Creating the unique image obviously took perfect timing between Davis and the photographer. Davis will be looking for similar timing with the Pelicans this season under new coach Alvin Gentry. With all due respect to Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, James Harden, etc.; but the person LeBron James will pass the torch to as the next “best player in the NBA” resides in New Orleans but dunks, literally, out of this world.
