For all of the greatness associated with Rich Rodriguez as a coach and play-caller, his personality hasn’t exactly meshed with everyone at all of his coaching stops. He took West Virginia to heights it had never seen before but burned bridges on his way out by announcing his departure just four months after renegotiating his contract. He was then sued by WVU and a 2013 poll said only 11% of native West Virginians viewed Rodriguez favorably. Then his tenure at Michigan was a disaster from start to finish with players criticizing him, NCAA violations, and a 15-22 record. But Rich Rod rebounded in Arizona and has led the Wildcats to three straight bowl appearances.

He appears to have lightened up a bit in his move out west and has actually cracked a smile or two on the sidelines. Rich Rod dialed up the affability meter even more so with his latest move: appearing in the above music video alongside the Arizona Gymnastics team. If you’ve ever dreamt of seeing Rich Rodriguez Whip and Nae Nae, what is wrong with you you’re in luck.

Undoubtedly the highlight occurs at the :48 second mark as Rich Rod does the Stanky Leg:

If only we can see that on the UA sidelines this year. The Wildcats start their season on September 3 vs. UTSA.
