The coaching acumen of University of Alabama head football coach Nick Saban is well known. What we’re just learning, however, is that Saban has plenty of life advice for his players as well. For example, in a forthcoming biography of Saban by Forbes writer Monte Burke, there is a speech he gave to his team about chasing women.
Here’s the excerpt in question, via New York Times‘ Ben Cohen’s tweet.
A couple of things learned here. First, if you’re chasing a girl past midnight, it’s not worth it according to Saban. Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, Saban says if you’re going to sleep around, only do it with someone who has as much to lose as you do. For example, Saban himself would only cheat on his wife Miss Terry with Democratic presidential candidate “Hillary f***ing Rodham Clinton.”
Now, Saban was trying to make a point and the likelihood of he and Mrs. Clinton actually having an affair is probably slim to none. Nonetheless, that quote is just gold. Take notes kids.
