The San Diego Chargers suffered another heart-crushing defeat at the hands of the New Orleans Saints. Quarterback Philip Rivers is really tired of losing.
His time as a Charger has been filled with a lot of losses like this. They lost in Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs while holding a large lead again in the fourth quarter. The Chargers were up 17 points with over 10 minutes to go before eventually losing in overtime.
This time San Diego was up by 13 points with just under seven minutes to go. Then, Melvin Gordon fumbled the ball and it produced a snowball effect.
Travis Benjamin fumbled again on the next drive and the Saints went on to take the lead. His team imploded and Rivers could not do anything about it.
