The 2011 MVP, Derrick Rose, was acquired by the New York Knicks today in a package deal centered around Robin Lopez, Jerian Grant and Jose Calderon.
Full details of the trade have not been released but the players involved have reportedly been notified by their respective teams.
Rose has been on the hot seat lately in Chicago with his injury history. Rose became the youngest MVP in NBA history at only 22-years old. He has battled knee injuries since 2012. He has missed 162 games over the last four NBA seasons.
Lopez was signed last offseason as part of a four year, $54 million deal. Grant was selected by the Knicks in the 2015 NBA draft.
