The drama continues to build on the court in the NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers, while off the court, the drama surrounding where free agent Kevin Durant will end up playing next season is building to a fever pitch as well.

But, if you take Durant’s teammate Serge Ibaka’s word for it, people are making a whole lot of noise over nothing since Durant will be coming back to Oklahoma City when it’s all said and done.

A TMZ cameraman caught up with Ibaka in Beverly Hills and asked the Thunder’s big man whether or not he thought Durant was going to stay with the Thunder.

Ibaka answered, with no hesitation, “Of course he is.”

When the cameraman followed that question up with one about whether Russell Westbrook, a free agent at the end of the 2016-17 season, would stay as well, Ibaka said “everybody’s staying.”

So there you have it sports fans. The biggest offseason mystery has been solved and Kevin Durant will be playing for Oklahoma City yet again.

Well, at least if you believe Serge Ibaka’s take on things.

Bryan Altman is, for some reason, an unabashed fan of the Rangers, Jets and Mets. If he absolutely had to pick a basketball team it would be the Knicks, but he’d gladly trade them for just one championship for any of his other three teams.
