At some point on Tuesday morning, the NFL’s official Twitter account was hacked. At roughly 12:35 p.m. ET this afternoon, whoever the hacker, or hackers were, tweeted out that commissioner Roger Goodell had died at the age of 57.
Of course, Goodell was – thankfully, whether you love or loathe him – not dead, and that positive and accurate news eventually spread as the NFL attempted to regain control of its Twitter account.
Now that the dust has settled, Goodell has taken to the same platform that did him in to joke about his faux demise.
Golfing with an NFL legend on a Tuesday… Pretty much the polar opposite of being dead, really.
Welcome back to the land of the living, commissioner.
Bryan Altman is, for some reason, an unabashed fan of the Rangers, Jets and Mets. If he absolutely had to pick a basketball team it would be the Knicks, but he’d gladly trade them for just one championship for any of his other three teams.
