Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel has reportedly been partying non-stop since his release from the team in March. Manziel has been spotted in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Dallas and Miami in the course of the past couple months. Recently, a photo taken of him at a pool party in Vegas surfaced, and in it Manziel appeared to have lost a lot of weight. According to a recent report from TMZ Sports, his friends are now concerned that he may die if he doesn’t stop.

In the report, TMZ quotes a “source close to Manziel” saying that the former QB is “in a horrible downward spiral” and that “if he continues this way for much longer he will die.” The report goes on to say that there have been serious attempts to help Manziel.

“There have been multiple serious attempts to help Johnny — with one group of close friends recently sitting him down and “confronting” him about his situation. But, as one source put it, “He flipped out and would not hear it.”

Manziel’s own father expressed similar concerns as his friends back in February when he told The Dallas Morning News that if Manziel didn’t get help, “he won’t live to see his 24th birthday.”

Manziel has been in the news multiple times for his partying in the past few months, including doing a reported $32,000 in damage to a $4.5 million home he and some friends rented. He was indicted by a Texas grand jury on a misdemeanor assault charge last month. There has been no statement from his camp in response to this report.
