Las Vegas Mayor Says Chargers Are Another Option For Vegas NFL Team

If you’re a fan of the Oakland Raiders and you’ve already accepted the fact that your team might be moving to Sin City, not so fast. According to Paul Pabst of DirecTV’s “The Dan Patrick Show” Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman has said that the Chargers are also in play for relocation and could find their way to Las Vegas if things don’t pan out with the Raiders.

While the news does present some reason for optimism for Raiders fans, Oakland is still very much the front runner and priority to move to Las Vegas at this point in time.

Raiders owner Mark Davis pledged $500 million to move the team to Las Vegas two weeks ago and owners like Jerry Jones are reportedly warming to the idea of a Vegas franchise.

What’s probably more disconcerting here is that the Chargers are ‘absolutely looking to move,’ which can’t sit well with Chargers fans.

However this all shakes out, it seems increasingly likely we’ll have an NFL team in Las Vegas soon and potentially two NFL teams in the AFC West relocating, which will greatly alter the current NFL landscape.

Bryan Altman is, for some reason, an unabashed fan of the Rangers, Jets and Mets. If he absolutely had to pick a basketball team it would be the Knicks, but he’d gladly trade them for just one championship for any of his other three teams.
