Making a three-pointer in an Elite 8 game is a difficult enough task, but Tyler Lydon just upped the ante.

After his foot was stepped on and his shoe came off, Lydon decided that the whole ‘two sneaker’ thing wasn’t for him. So he chucked his sneaker to the sideline, took a pass from a teammate, and proceeded to knock down a three-pointer to cut into Virginia’s 12-point lead.

Not only did Lydon help out his team, but he inspired some on the internet to follow his lead.

Also, as CBS Sports pointed out, Lydon may want to give this one-shoe thing a bit of a closer look.

Now we’ve truly seen everything this March.

Bryan Altman is, for some reason, an unabashed fan of the Rangers, Jets and Mets. If he absolutely had to pick a basketball team it would be the Knicks, but he’d gladly trade them for just one championship for any of his other three teams.
