The Wisconsin Badgers have contributed in a large way to making the term “March Madness” live up to its name this season. The Badgers win over 2nd seeded Xavier on Sunday came on back-to-back heroic shots from point guard Bronson Koenig in a highlight that will surely be part of the “One Shining Moment” montage played following the championship game. Wisconsin now finds itself in the Sweet 16 because of those heroics getting ready for a date with Notre Dame in Philadelphia on Friday.
While some may struggle to put in to words just how incredible this run has been for a Wisconsin team that saw it’s long-time coach retire in mid-December, two of the Badgers bench players, Aaron Moesch and Matt Ferris found the perfect way to recap the team’s first two games of the tournament.
As a kid who grew up in Philadelphia loving “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”, I have to say: Well done fellas. Everything from the 90’s outfits to the recreation of the basketball scene in the original theme song is on point.
Bench players just seem to have the most fun in college basketball don’t they?
